Arctic noir, so reminded me of that season of True Detective with Jodie Foster that was set in Alaska. I frequently complain about things being too long. This one was too short. Great read but I wished the backstories, history, and mythologies were fleshed out a lot more than they were. A great meditation on colonialism, internecine geopolitics, and the effects they have on ordinary people (which, again, I wish was explored more.)
I really love the author’s works.
